    Exterior signage

    For any business with premises, the outside of the building creates a lasting first impression. For a retailer it should reflect the experience a customer will receive and for other companies, exterior signage is sometimes the only physical embodiment of a brand.

    As well as needing to look amazing, there’s also the practical elements to signage, such as readability, durability, safety, how much it stands out – the last thing anyone wants is a customer or delivery firm spending ages driving around a business park looking for their destination.

    Depending on the location, signage is free advertising and could be just enough to pique someone’s interest into finding out more.

    Exterior signage is probably the ultimate test in balancing the creative with the practical because it needs to be eye-catching, easy to read in passing or from a distance and safe.

    By its very nature, this form of signage is likely to be in situ for some time, so the materials have to be robust and the message should be one that endures.
