We’re Hiring – New Business Executive

Permanent – 37.5 hours per week (flexible or reduced working hours considered depending on experience). Based in Tamworth, Staffordshire.


EBY Design is an established agency which this year is celebrating its 18th anniversary. It has a range of international and UK based B2B and B2C clients, ranging from SMEs to global multinationals, with specialist experience in the manufacturing, construction, consumer electronics and emergency services sectors.

With a 10-strong team of designers, developers and client services specialists, it now needs a new business executive to work alongside its senior team to build, grow and convert its current new business pipeline.


Job description

  • Review, develop and implement the new business strategy to secure new local clients, then building out
  • Create new business relationships with potential local clients
  • Create and manage EBY’s new business CRM
  • Prepare new business reports and forecasts
  • Support and work with the Strategy & Business Development Director to grow and manage the wider UK new business pipeline
  • Assist in research and putting together new business decks and/or proposals
  • Contribute to EBY’s promotional and networking activity, such as generating posts on social media, attending events etc.


Key responsibilities

  • Work with the Strategy & Business Development Director to develop and deliver the new business strategy
  • Identify new leads through cold calling, networking, social media and attending events
  • Specifically, be responsible for managing ‘local’ prospects until hand over to the client services team
  • Develop excellent relationships with potential clients and maintain these throughout the sales cycle until handover to the client services team


We are looking for a candidate who

  • Has solid new business/sales experience, ideally within an agency environment or with knowledge of how they work and are organised
  • Is self-motivated, tenacious, resilient and HIGHLY driven
  • Has great negotiating, presentation and communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Has excellent time, planning and project management skills, with good attention to detail
  • Will share our vision for growth and be prepared to ‘get stuck-in’
  • Will be able to handle demands, targets, deadlines and high stress situations
  • Has excellent networking and business acquisition skills
  • Is consistent, dependable and efficient
