Four bicycles for the Krizevac Project

Gavin and EBY have been involved with the Krizevac Project since its inception in 2007.

Developing initiatives to create self-sustaining businesses in Malawi, one such genius idea was to take thousands of decommissioned Post Office bicycles destined for the scrap heap, refurbish and sell them as Elephant Bikes, then donate another Elephant bike to Malawi for every one sold.

Bikes on their way to Malawi!

So, when Gavin thought of the four bicycles gathering dust in his shed, he phoned the Krizevac Project to make better use of them. They are due to be be picked up tonight, then shipped to Milawi, where we are sure they will find great homes.

We would encourage anyone to Buy an Elephant Bike or Act Now to donate and support the many enterprising projects that help so many fight poverty.

See how Elephant Bikes have made a difference to Tim and Amos in Malawi:

In case any of you are wondering, the name Elephant Bike was chosen after wardens in Malawi’s Liwonde National Park discovered that the elephants didn’t like Post Office red and charged, so the bikes were resprayed green!
